Regulations
- Playing date: Saturday, 11th September 2004.
- Start time: 11:00 (Iceland), 12:00 (Faroe Islands) and 13:00 (Sweden, Denmark and Norway) and 14:00 (Finland)
- Teams: 6-8 teams. One team from each country, current national champion + organizer. If the national champions do not play, the seat goes the team which finished second. If an unequal number of teams participate then the "next extra seat" goes to the country which did best in tournament year if it does not already have two seats.
- Players: Six players on each team. Every team may use three reserve players. Time limits: 20 min + 5 sec. increment per move
- Playing venue (Internet): ICC
- Playing venue: Every team must play in their home country. All the players of each team shall play from the same location, at the same time.
- Controlling: Each Chess Federation will nominate a certified arbiter to be present at their country's playing venue to avoid all cheating. The arbiter may not be a member of the chess club.
- Prizes: A cup and the honor of being the Nordic Club Champion!
- Pairing: The tournament is played by Round Robin. All the teams' line-up for every round should be ready before the tournament and already sent to ICC, at least two hours before the tournament starts. The line-up´s must play in same order the entire tournament.
- Team's line-up: All players shall be fully qualified members of the club. The team line-up, captain and arbiter shall be sent to organizer at least two days before the tournaments starts. Minor changes (1-2 players at most) are accepted until 3 hours before the tournaments starts.
- Chief Arbiter and appeal committee: The organizer shall nominate the Chief Arbiter. An appeal committee (2 captains and ICC´s representative (who is the chairman) and 2 captains for reserve) shall be nominated. Every team can appeal chief arbiter's decision to the appeal committee within 1 hour after the chief arbiter's decision was made
