      Interesting information about Olomouc chess Festival in General: -

Olomouc is considered the Capital of  mid Moravia as Czech Republic is divided into Bohemia in the west  and Moravia in the east.-You can go there by train, bus or of course  car , temperature was around the average of 26 degrees Celsius during the day and around 20 degrees Celsius in the nights which is considered better than the weather during Pardubice open.- Olomouc is considered to be one of the major cities in the Czech Republic With a population of 106 000 inhabitants.-There are a lot of interesting places to visit, Specially the 2 main squares in the center of the city.-There were some trips organized to the participants during the tournament and a mini football championship.

 {mosimage} The Orloj Clock or in English the Calendar Clock: was first built in 1419 and was destroyed during the second world war and rebuild in 1955.

Arion Fountain: The idea to build it firstly arose in the 18th Century but only came true in 1989!

Neptune Fountain: It was built in 1683 portraying the water God Neptune Surrounded by four sea horses.
